Standards

Kindlewood is built around a simple belief: when garments are made properly, they’re worn longer and replaced less often.

Materials, construction, and finishing aren’t treated as marketing points here. They’re the baseline.

The standards below outline how the shop is curated — with longevity as the priority, not trend cycles.

WRAP Certified

WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production) certification ensures garments are produced in facilities that meet internationally recognized standards for ethical labor, workplace safety, and legal compliance.

This covers wages, working hours, health and safety, and human rights.

SUPIMA® Cotton

SUPIMA® cotton is a premium American-grown fiber known for its extra-long staple length, resulting in softer fabric, increased strength, and longer-lasting garments.

Only a small percentage of the world’s cotton qualifies as SUPIMA®.

This is a quality decision first — sustainability follows durability.

GOTS Certified (Global Organic Textile Standard)

GOTS certification ensures organic fibers are processed according to strict environmental and social criteria, from raw material sourcing through finished production.

It is one of the most comprehensive standards for organic textiles worldwide.

No Sweatshops

Kindlewood does not work with sweatshops or exploitative labor environments.

Production partners are vetted to ensure fair working conditions, lawful employment practices, and respect for the people making the garments.
